The Career series event is a two-day event hosted by the Criminology Student Association and the School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University.

This two-evening event will feature guest speakers from a variety of professional backgrounds such as corrections, forensics, law, and cybersecurity, among others. This event will provide an opportunity for students to learn from professionals in criminology-related fields and gain insight into post-BA opportunities and career pathways. This event is open to current and intended SFU Criminology students. Students can sign up for one or both sessions.

Each Criminology Career Series session will feature short 5-7 minute presentations by six different guest speakers, followed by a general Q&A panel, and breakout tables/rooms for more specific discussions.

The first session on Wednesday, March 20th will be held at the SFU Burnaby campus. The second session on Thursday, March 21st will be held on Zoom.  The exact location (building and room number) for the in-person session will be made available upon registration via Eventbrite. Also, catering (coffee, juice, and assorted baked goods) will be provided for the in-person session. Seats are limited for the in-person session, so please register as soon as you can.

The event cost is $5.00 and counts towards both nights (there is an added $1.66 service fee that is applied by Eventbrite). All profits have yet to be decided on where to donate to. We hope to see you there!
